tinfoil-hatMaking money online is the goal of every entrepreneur, and one of the most effective ways of generating revenue online is to use Google Adwords. But, to make the most of what Adwords offers, you must have a firm grasp on how to run an effective Adwords campaign.

Your first step is to look back over all of the tips and tricks I have shared with you already, and really digest all the vital information that you now have access to.’
Here is a brief 7-step recap of what you have learned, and how it will help you increase your Google Adwords revenue:

1. Once you have a thorough understanding of Adwords, consider how much
you want to invest initially to bid on keywords. Set a budget that you are you comfortable with, and stick to it. Once you drive more traffic to your Web site and, in return, make larger profits, you may want to increase your budget. For now, however, only bid what you can comfortably afford to pay.

2. Know how to use keywords to maximize your investment. Your main
keyword or keyword phrase should be in the headline of your ad, in the ad
itself, and in the content on your Web site.

3. Your ad must be innovative and grab the attention of your prospective
customers. Illustrate to your prospective customers WHY they should click on the link and visit your Web site. Remember, the objective is for prospective customers to click on your ad.

4. Your Web site must contain information that is valuable to your target
market. Once prospective customers click on the link to your Web site, they
want to find information that they need and can use. By providing unique and compelling content, you’ll give prospective customers to both sign up for your list and visit your Web site again and again (provided that you add fresh content on a regular basis).

5. Always keep track of the competition. You must know what your
competitors are doing, so you can ensure you’re doing enough to get ahead -
and stay ahead – of them.

6. Use a variation of keywords, including commonly misspelled words. By
using a variety of keywords, you’ll reach a larger audience.

7. Avoid using negative or inactive keywords. If a keyword isn’t getting many hits, stop using it. Likewise, avoid using negative keywords. All of your keywords should be directly related to your target market

bingseoSearch engine optimization for Bing is unique. Bing provides search results based on their subcategory grouping. It relies less on keywords than Google or Yahoo. Businesses and SEO services need to rethink their SEO campaigns in order to be successful. Bing separates itself from other search engines in a variety of ways. Travel, health, local, and shopping searches are very different.

Searching for travel on Bing makes me think that I am on travel website instead of a search engine. Like it or not, the self-proclaimed “Decision Engine” is changing the search engine optimization landscape forever. Some people are calling Bing an information portal or intelligent search engine. I personally think Google will remain on top but Bing should gain Microsoft an ever increasing piece of the search engine pie. This means that optimizing your website for Bing is vital to your bottom-line.

Here are some factors, which are importance when Bing optimization is concerned:

Backlinks are of less importance. If you compare the first 10 results in Bing and Google, it is noticeable that all equal, the winners in Bing have less backlinks than the winners in Google. It is unclear if nofollow matters with Bing.

Inbound anchor text matters more. The quantity of quality inbound links might be of less importance for Bing but the anchor text certainly matters more. Actually, since anchor text is one of the measurements of the quality of inbound links, it isn’t much different. Get quality anchor text and you will do well in both Bing and Google.

Link spamming won’t do much for you on Bing. Since the quantity of backinks (even if they are of supreme quality) seems to be of less importance to Bing, link spamming will be even less effective than with Google.

Bing pays more attention to the authority of the site. If this is true, this is bad news for bloggers and small sites because it means that search results are distorted in favor of older sites and/or sites of authoritative organizations. Age of domain is also very important with Bing – even more than with Google.

affiliateMost internet marketers will set up their campaigns on AdWords and expect everything to run brilliantly. It won’t! You have to apply all these little insider “secrets” to get ahead of a lot of advertisers. Some people will apply a few of these tips here and there in their campaigns but to get maximum benefits, you want to apply them all.

1) Capitalize First Letter Of Every Word In Your Display URL

Doing this has a MASSIVE effect on the way that your ad is perceived

2) Always Write 2 Ads For Each Ad Group And Test Which One Gets A Higher CTR:

Google AdWords gives you the option of writing more than one ad for each ad group. What Google will then do with your ads (if you create 2 ads) is…whenever your ad is triggered by one of your keywords, they will show ad number one for that “impression” and the second time your ad is triggered, they will show ad number two. Google will keep on “alternating” your ads in this manner so that each of your ads gets an equal exposure

3) Use The Powerful Phrase, “How To” In Your Ad Headlines Whenever Relevant:

Just like the principle of asking your potential customers a question, using
the phrase “how to” in starting your headline sentence can be extremely powerful in hooking any searcher who sees your ad

4) Don’t Forget To Include “Self-Referring” Words Like “My” And “I” In Your Keyword List:

This is one of those “obvious” things that most internet marketers seem to
miss. When doing your keyword research for words and phrases to add to your campaign, think of it from the customers point of view

5) Match Your Ad Headline To The Keyword In Your Ad Groups:

After you’ve created all your different ad groups with the closely related keywords within each group…you then have to write a single ad for EACH ADGROUP.  So for Ad Group 1 Above: “Dog Training Secrets”, your ad headline should be RELEVANT AND SPECIFIC to the keyword of the group in general

Build a List Using a Squeeze Page

list-buldingA squeeze page is a simple  two-page website  where the sole purpose  is to capture your prospects name and email address. I’m sure you’ve seen one because you would have gone through one to be on my list.

Build a list by offering something free. That’s the first page of your website. It   could   be   a   free   PDF   report,   like   the   one   I’m   writing   now   using.   You   can   use www.openoffice.org  software to create as many pdf reports as you wish for  free .

It could be a 7 day email e-course where you deliver an email every day with content your reader is looking for or interested in.

After they have opted in, you send them to a “thankyou page” where you can thank them for subscribing  and let  them download a freebie or  have some offers.  This  is the  second and final page of your website.

Earn Extra Money While Tweeting

twitter

By now you know that Twitter is a great networking tool, but one downside is that tweets are limited to only 140 characters. This is really  bad news when you have a long URL in your tweet.

Long URLs can use up half of your tweet space – and maybe more. Most people use a URL-shortening service such as http://tinyurl.com/  to overcome this handicap, but now there is a way to shorten the URL and make money. It’s called http://www.adjix.com .

When you use Adjix to shorten a URL, the person who clicks on the shortened version sees ads while waiting for the site to load, and you get paid for it.  It is a common way for free services to make money from their service.

You get paid $0.10 for each 1000 unique link views and $0.20 for each valid, unique click through.  If you earn more than $25 at the end of a  given month, a check is mailed to  you about 45 days later.

You can easily create an account with an email address, first and last name (for the payout) and a password. Signing up is free and can be done in about 5 minutes.

Once you sign up,you can edit your profile and even choose which category of ads that display when someone clicks on your shortened URL.

You can also advertise on Adjix at a pretty reasonable rate.   You can use a combination of advertising and promoting the service to maximize your checks and build  your business.

The money made for adjix.com isn’t a fortune, but it could start to look pretty attractive to someone with a large list of followers or a responsive group of followers.  This is also money that you are making for now doing anything out of the ordinary. You are just shortening a URL when you “tweet”.

You probably won’t get rich but it’s just another strategy to use Twitter to build  your business and also make some extra residual income on top of the Twitter traffic to your blog or website at the same time.

The number of URL length allowable in views of SEO has been discussed seriously in forums and blog. Some suggested that maximum length of URL of targetted pages URL’s should be under 65 characters long. All depends on how the receiving SE deals with long URL. Some won’t do past 128 characters and some will do. “One size fits all” is getting out of date.

Put keywords in URL, e.g.http://www.smallpile.com/url-in-seo-practice.html, where “SEO pratice” is the keyword phrase you attempt to rank well for. But if you don’t have the keywords in other parts of the document, don’t rely on having them in the URL.

A good rule of thumb of  URL SEO is to go no deeper than three directories from the root. Keep your hyphens down to 3 or fewer for the entire URL ,otherwise it will look like keyword stuffing. If you are aiming towards categorizing your content by developing these subdirectories, consider the first level of categories being a third level domain – www.mysite.com  and product.mysite.com, etc. Then, you can get your first big passes at the domain level, and can limit your full URL . Also, choose your 3rd levels carefully – hyphen rules count in those, too.
