Most internet marketers will set up their campaigns on AdWords and expect everything to run brilliantly. It won’t! You have to apply all these little insider “secrets” to get ahead of a lot of advertisers. Some people will apply a few of these tips here and there in their campaigns but to get maximum benefits, you want to apply them all.
1) Capitalize First Letter Of Every Word In Your Display URL
Doing this has a MASSIVE effect on the way that your ad is perceived
2) Always Write 2 Ads For Each Ad Group And Test Which One Gets A Higher CTR:
Google AdWords gives you the option of writing more than one ad for each ad group. What Google will then do with your ads (if you create 2 ads) is…whenever your ad is triggered by one of your keywords, they will show ad number one for that “impression” and the second time your ad is triggered, they will show ad number two. Google will keep on “alternating” your ads in this manner so that each of your ads gets an equal exposure
3) Use The Powerful Phrase, “How To” In Your Ad Headlines Whenever Relevant:
Just like the principle of asking your potential customers a question, using
the phrase “how to” in starting your headline sentence can be extremely powerful in hooking any searcher who sees your ad
4) Don’t Forget To Include “Self-Referring” Words Like “My” And “I” In Your Keyword List:
This is one of those “obvious” things that most internet marketers seem to
miss. When doing your keyword research for words and phrases to add to your campaign, think of it from the customers point of view
5) Match Your Ad Headline To The Keyword In Your Ad Groups:
After you’ve created all your different ad groups with the closely related keywords within each group…you then have to write a single ad for EACH ADGROUP. So for Ad Group 1 Above: “Dog Training Secrets”, your ad headline should be RELEVANT AND SPECIFIC to the keyword of the group in general
